One of "Those Days".....

Ever have one of "those days"? Mine started a couple of weeks ago.

I had a whole history written below, then decided it was a "whine fest". Bottom line, following an MRI yesterday, I have an extruded disc in my lower back, causing unacceptable levels of pain.

Bummer.

The MRI report is being reviewed by a pain specialist in Logan today and I'm very reluctantly trying to schedule a consult with a neurosurgeon in Ogden. The neurosurgeon is obviously the last direction I want to proceed, but felt like I need as much input as possible.

We're hoping for cortisone injections, muscle relaxants and possibly spinal decompression before I ever consider anything more drastic.

Anyway, the real crappy part of the whole thing is, I can't sit down. Standing isn't exactly a party, but it's liveable. Laying down works, and I can even get some sleep with a pain pill in me.

I just can't sit.

And today is the final game of the District Season for Tyler's soccer team, BE United. And it's in Logan. They are in first place in the District and they are playing the second place team. And whoever wins, will win the points necessary to take the championship. Kind of like the Tournament Finals. Winner takes all. Simple as that.

And I can't sit.

Now, I don't normally sit during a game anyway. I get way too involved to sit. I pace, and usually say way too much. I think I'm improving, but I need to do a better job of letting Chris and BJ coach, and keeping my mouth shut. But that's another post.

Back to the real issue. I can't sit.

Which means, I can't ride in a car.

And that means I get to wait at home while BE United faces the biggest game of the season, and wait for texts from Annette. Gonna drive me nuts!

I can pace and stress and try my best to make it through.

I just can't sit.....
