Another great weekend is behind us. Saturday is not for getting chores done, it's for soccer. And that's just what we did!
It all began in the morning as Jex played another exciting game against the blue team. Ah, to be 5 again! These kids have a great time, sometimes even paying enough attention to go after the ball! I don't recall the score, but it was loads of fun watching them swarm up and down the field.
We did take a quick break right after the game to make a trip to Ogden to pick up some electrical items for the remodel, but that's a different post......
We then moved on to the adult AYSO League game at 2:00. Jeremy, BJ and Chris all play on an adult league team. They walked away with a 5 - 2 win. Chris scored 3 points. BJ had a lot of shots and Jeremy kept the backfield clear. The three of them play so well and so well together. It's always been exciting to watch them.
We had just enough time after that game to head home and get Tyler ready for his game at 5:00. Ty plays for BC United, a comp team that is playing in a Northern Utah league this spring. It was a tough game for them, ending in a 1 - 1 tie. I'm not sure everyone came to play soccer this time. But there's always Thursday......
Then, we settled in to watch Real Salt Lake crash and burn in a 4 - 1 loss to DC United. Bummer..... Sad ending after their last meeting with DC.
Oh. We ended the night watching the end of the Jazz game. Another white knuckler as they almost blew it in the last 2 minutes after holding a solid lead most of the game.
So now I've had my sports fix for another week. Grandmom, (as Kadence calls her) always razzes me that I don't like sports. You could have fooled me..... ...Gramps;)
